Ife North PDP Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Michael Akande congratulates Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The Caretaker Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ife North Local Government area of Osun State and the entire executives have sent their congratulatory message to the State governor, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke over his victory at the Court of Appeal.
Akande in a letter personally signed and made available to the media expressed delight in the judgement and said "it is now obvious that justice still exists in our country."
Hon. Akande however, said that the last Presidential, National and State Assembly elections which all went the way of July 16, explained that there was no over voting during the July 16, 2022 governorship election that installed Sen. Adeleke adding that it only further proved the rejection of APC and the acceptance of the Peoples Democratic Party across the length and breadth of Osun State.
Hon. Akande, on behalf of all leaders, members and supporters of the PDP said it is now time to develop our state with a mindset of the traditional PDP.
He also added that it is also very important for the people to rally round the governor with a view to improving the lot of Osun State indigenes.
Akande said his LG executives appreciate the people of Ife North on their roles during the just concluded elections and for playing leading roles in the entire Ife Federal Constituency, urging them to keep it up and eschew politics of division.
The Caretaker Chairman added that "progress can come only in an atmosphere of unity and oneness and everyone should see themselves as one because politics has stages and the stage we are now is governance," he therefore urged the people of the state to "face governance for effective delivery of the dividends of democracy which the party promised the electorates."
