NYAN Osun Holds Successful Convention, Elects Comrade David Ojewale as Speaker.

Osogbo,  April 28, 2026.

The National Youths Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN), Osun State Chapter proudly announced the successful conduct of its State Convention, held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the NUJ Hall, Osogbo, Osun State.

The convention witnessed the convergence of youth leaders, stakeholders, and delegates from across all local government areas of the state, reinforcing the Assembly’s commitment to democratic values, youth inclusion, and participatory governance.

The electoral process was conducted in a transparent and credible manner and was duly observed by officials from the Osun State Ministry of Youths, further affirming the legitimacy and integrity of the exercise.

At the end of the keenly contested elections, Comrade David Ojewale emerged as the duly elected Speaker of the National Youths Assembly of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter.

Additionally, competent and dedicated representatives were elected into the legislative arm of the Assembly to represent their respective local government areas, marking a new phase of purposeful youth-driven legislative engagement in Osun State.

The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including the Southwest Coordinator of NYAN, Ambassador Ogunolu, as well as the Special Assistant to the Osun State Governor on Youth Mobilization, Hon. Segun Oyewale, who both delivered goodwill messages. In their remarks, they commended the peaceful conduct of the convention and encouraged the newly elected leadership to remain committed to service, unity, and impactful youth representation.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Speaker, Comrade David Ojewale, expressed heartfelt appreciation to all delegates and stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him.

He stated, "I am deeply honored by this mandate. This leadership will be driven by inclusiveness, accountability, and a firm commitment to advancing the interests of young people across Osun State. Together, we will build a stronger and more effective Assembly."

The Assembly reiterates its unwavering dedication to fostering youth empowerment, strengthening democratic structures, and serving as a credible voice for young people in governance.

The leadership also extended its appreciation to all stakeholders, observers, and participants whose contributions ensured the success of the convention.
