TSUNAMI HITS APC AS OMIRIN RECEIVED HUNDREDS OF THEM IN ATAKUNMOSA EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT INTO PDP, CAMPAIGN POSTERS HIT MAJOR CITIES IN OSUN STATE.

It was ecstasy and wide jubilation in the ancient city of Olowu Lapaide in Atakunmosa East local government area of Osun state when scores of members of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) dropped their brooms and embraced the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during a town Hall Meeting where loyalty and support for the former Executive Chairman of Atakunmosa East local government was pledged for his Osun State governorship in 2022.
The decampees who described the APC as a sinking ship and failed party said, their action was based on the verifiable achievements of Hon. Sanya Omirin while in office as the number one citizen in that local government.
The defectors that comprised of all ages and genders gathered at the community centre wearing various insignia like face caps, polo T-Shirts, Round-Neck Vests and many other clothing apparels that bore the pictures of Hon. Sanya Omirin as a sign of total declaration of supports for the PDP gubernatorial aspirant.
The community leader who spoke on behalf of the people of Lapaide community said they decided to join the party to work with all they have for two major reasons, first being that Hon. Sanya Omirin has been a consistent, truthful and straightforward person to them in the community and has never reneged on his promises either to individuals or the community adding that he facilitated many developmental projects to various communities during his tenure as council boss and gave a lot of employment opportunities for some indigenes of the community while at the RMAFC despite having limited power power and his performance as the Executive Chairman of Atakunmosa East local government remains the only legacy of PDP that any member of the party can use to boast with during campaigns.
The second reason, according to the leader was that the political party that Hon. Sanya Omirin belongs does not deceive people, if you make request for five things from them either as an individual or as a community they will tell you exactly what they are sure or what they have power of doing without deceiving you unlike some other political party, that always raised people’s hope for nothing, he however, assured Hon. Omirin that the entire community would mobilize for the party to secure victory in the coming elections.
Another member the defectors who spoke on behalf of the Youths simply identified as Mr. Sunday thanked Hon. Sanya Omirin for stretching his hands of love to members of the community and his display of good leadership qualities that God bestowed on him by accepting them into the fold of PDP in the state adding that Hon. Sanya Omirin is the real reason why the entire community decided to embrace the opposition party, he therefore urged him to make sure that he ensure that he gets the ticket of his party for the governorship of Osun State in 2022 so that all the desires of Osun people to work for him and his political party will not end up in mere wishful thinking. He also pleaded to him to make the employments of the teeming population of jobless youths a priority when God grants his desire and makes him the governor of the state.
Speaking at the events Hon. Sanya Omirin thanked the new party members for taking the good decision at a period like this, urging them to work for the success of the party, he also promised them that there will be equal treatment for them in the party without any act of discrimination because PDP does not believe in relegating active people to join any unnecessary queue but believes in performance of everybody whether new or old member.
Hon. Sanya Omirin used the medium to appeal to those who are still contemplating on how to pitch their tents with the ruling party, the APC, to have a rethink because the ruling party is already sinking, he then urged them not to go back on their decision to join the PDP which remains the only party that considers the poor masses in its policies. He later handover the party flags to the new members as a sign of their new dedication to the largest political party in Africa.
Dignitaries at the events include Alh. Kosamotu Adegbite, former vice chairman Atakumosa East local Government; Prince Adebanjo, PDP Secretary Atakumosa East Local Government and many other political bigwigs.
