"DON'T STRAY AWAY FROM THE VIRTUES AND DICTATES OF RAMADAN"

The Honourable-Elect of Ife North State Constituency in Osun State, Hon. Abidemi Akinyode Oyewusi, popularly called "Ireyode" has admonished Muslim Faithful in Ife North Local Government in particular and Osun State in general not to stray out of the Holy path and lessons they learnt during the period of the Ramadan Fasting.

Hon. Oyewusi made this statement in Ipetumodu today while addressing Muslims at the Eid-El Fitri prayer in  Ipetumodu which was made available to news men by his media handlers.

Hon. Oyewusi admonished that Ramadan period does not permit the adherents of the Holy month to go back to their old ways of life but to improve on self discipline and sacrifices which they have endured and observed for other less privileged members of the society in the last 30 days.

Oyewusi added, "you cannot starve yourself for that long and listened to several sermons filled with quotations from the holy Quran and let it go in vain by withdrawing into the life of sin." 

Oyewusi therefore promised them that he would let the government of Osun State be aware of their crucial needs which they discussed during the campaigns with a view to ensuring that the government fulfils all its electoral promises to his people, especially as the people have demonstrated their willingness to live in peace and harmony in order to allow peace to reign in Osun and let the government concentrate on its desires of delivering dividends of democracy to the people of the State.

Oyewusi therefore implored all Muslim clerics to offer special prayers during this year's Eid-El Fitri for Osun PDP and the Executive Governor of the State to come out victorious in the ongoing Supreme Court case initiated against the ruling party and the kind hearted Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke by APC and former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.

He opined that their prayers will go a long way in seeking God's intervention in favour of the government at the Supreme Court.

Hon. Oyewusi therefore appealed for calm among party members on the forthcoming party congresses from Ward to the state levels, assuring that harmonization and peaceful resolution of the processes is ongoing among the state leaders of the party across all divides.

He also assured that the Executive Governor is not in support of discrimination against anybody or groups, no matter their affiliations because this is the time for politics but for governance as reiterated by him at many fora in recent times.

He therefore urged members not to panic because all groups, interests and various tendencies are adequately being considered for various party and government positions and offices so that the party can have a united house going forward.
