Osun Deputy Speaker Congratulates Muslims in the Month of Ramadan Kareem.

The Deputy Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Akinyode Oyewusi has felicitated with the Muslim Communities in Osun State over the Holy Month of Ramadan which began today, 11th March, 2024.

Oyewusi in a Special Ramadan Kareem message personally signed by him and made available to the Press enjoined the Muslims to pray fervently during the holy month for the government of Osun State under Senator Ademola Adeleke and the government of the Federal Republic under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for peace to reign in our nation.

In his words Oyewusi observed that "the holy month of Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam and a great opportunity for all Muslims to purify their mind, body, heart, and soul by fasting and praying to Almighty Allah to give Nigerian leaders at all levels the way out of the current economic storm which the world entirely has found herself and make a way out of the woods for our leaders."

"I celebrate with all the Muslim faithful in Ife North, Osun State, and Nigeria on the commencement of the Holy month of Ramadan."

"As we begin this month, let us use this opportunity to put the best teachings of Islam into practice, such as kindness and love for humanity."

"This is an occasion for deep reflection and greater fear of Allah and avoidance of all evils that harm humanity and a time to passionately pray for the continued development of Ife North State constituency, the government of H.E. Sen. Ademola Adeleke, Osun state, and Nigeria."

Undoubtedly, as we begin these 30 days of fasting season, let us not forget that Ramadan is not only about abstention from eating and drinking, but it is a reminder to refrain from all kinds of evil and transgressions and a time to show love and kindness to others."

"Ramadan Kareem! May Allah bless you with an abundance of happiness on earth and guide you towards Jannah."
