Osun PDP stalwart, Akintunde Bello Sheriff eulogizes Senate Deputy Minority Leader, Akogun Lere Oyewumi, adopts him for re-election in 2027.
A prolific writer and senior citizen from Ede, Egbedore, Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State, Akintunde Bello Sheriff has eulogized the Deputy Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate, Akogun Lere Oyewumi for his exemplary performance and unprecedented hardship in the Senate especially on his bill that is aimed at giving all local government areas in Osun State separate state Constituencies in all locak government areas that are paired with one House of Assembly member.

According to Hon. Bello, Senator Oyewumi, despite this lofty achievement of breaking the records as a first timer also combined his activities with ensuring that his constituents are adequately catered for in terms of stomach infrastructure and also supporting them in the areas of financial needs.

In his words Akintunde Bello Sheriff wrote "We have had Senators from Osun State. And having Senators will not end anytime soon. In fact, Children whose parents are not yet in the womb will one day become Senators to if it tallies with their destiny."

"However the records that the Deputy Minority Leader of the current leadership under Akpabio - Distinguished Lere Oyewumi is building will be impossible to dismiss in decades."

"By Akogun's direct launching and at his behest, the ongoing constitutional alterations will most probably see to the deserving increase in the number of State Constituencies from the present 26 seats at the House of Assembly in Osun State."

"What this means is that the development will become further spreaded and more opportunities that will address lifetime communal logjam will be invoked. Indeed history shall remember Akogun Lere Oyewumi."

"This Bill for a surge in Assembly districts at the Osun State Parliament is now at second reading in the Senate."

"As he is simplifying lawmaking arithmetics , he is not leaving the welfare of the Citizens from Osun West to suffer. He is personally driving an ongoing massive Ramadan and Lenteen period Food Bank Relief Agenda in the State from his purse."

"This is responsive representation. Sometimes recently ago, he came up with a robust never ever seen empowerment project that catered for party officials in all the Local Governments he is representing, which was put at hundreds of millions."

"For the first time in history, Senator Lere Oyewumi have caused an unbelievable surge in the numbers of Aides on his payroll, thus reducing the pressure in the system."

"With the enormity of his influence, he has remained unrepentantly loyal to the Number 1 Citizen of Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke. He is not ruffling feathers and he is provenly committing everyday that will make the second return of His Excellency, IMOLE possible, thereby coming to a crescendo God's willing, by 2030."

For all the laudable and evidential blueprints of Akogun Lere Oyewumi which is having unparalleled positive impact on the direct lives of the Constituents, factoring his uncensored access by the downtrodden till date, I want to be the first Stakeholder in my right from Osun West to humbly nominate to the party leadership under Chairman Sunday Bisi to kindly grant the Distinguished Senator a waiver to solely contest the 2027 Senate ticket on the platform of PDP."

"This will avoid unnecessary distractions and it will save members any strenuous squabble. With Lere Oyewumi in Abuja, the consolidation support for the Osun State Government under Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke will be totally attained."

"I so move..."
