Osun Deputy Speaker Commiserates With Nigeria and Osun People over Death of Chief of Army Staff, Taoreed Lagbaja.

The Deputy Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Akinyode Abidemi Oyewusi has expressed sadness on the sudden departure of the Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja to the great beyond which sad event was announced today by the Nigerian Government.

Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja was Born on 28th of February 1968, in Irepodun local government area of Osun State. Lagbaja joined Nigerian in 1987 and served the Army till 2024 as a Lieutenant General and as Chief of Army Staff before he joined his ancestors. Lt. Gen. Lagbaja was 56 years old when he died.

In his words, Rt. Hon. Oyewusi wrote "I am deeply saddened by the passing of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja. His untimely demise is a significant loss not only to the Nigerian Armed Forces but also to Osun State."

"Lt. General Lagbaja was a distinguished officer, embodying courage, patriotism, and dedication to the security of our nation. His remarkable service and leadership will be dearly missed." 

"My thoughts and prayers are with his family, colleagues, and all who were touched by his legacy. May his soul rest in peace."
