Aare Asejere's Family Donates ₦10 Million Towards Ultra-Modern Palace Project at Orolu Day 2024
Governor Ademola Adeleke Graces Aare Asejere's Installation Reception.
The 34th annual Orolu Day celebration, held at the palace of His Royal Majesty, Oba Peter Oluwole Ilufemiloye Akinyooye III, the Olufon of Ifon Orolu, witnessed a historic moment as Alhaji Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa and his wife, Alhaja Kaosarat Olaoluwa, were conferred with the chieftaincy titles of Aare Gbadero and Yeye Aare Gbadero of Ifon Orolu Kingdom.
Aare Asejere, who serves as the Honourable Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs in Osun State and doubles as the Chairman of the Osun Commissioners' Forum, was honored alongside his wife during the well-attended ceremony. The conferment of Aare Gbadero and YΓ©ye Aare Gbadero of Iron Orolu Kingdom on the couple was marked by traditional rites conducted in line with the royal customs of the ancient town, culminating in royal blessings from the Olufon of Ifon Orolu Kingdom.
Speaking during the event, Aare Gbadero Olaoluwa expressed profound gratitude to HRM Oba Peter Oluwole Ilufemiloye Akinyooye III for the prestigious honor, noting that he had intentionally avoided chieftaincy titles for 17 years. He revealed that he accepted this title following the endorsement and encouragement of Osun State Governor, His Excellency Senator Ademola Adeleke, whom he thanked for his unwavering support. Aare Gbadero promised to contribute meaningfully to the development of Ifon Orolu and other projects in the region.
As part of the fundraising efforts for a ₦5 billion ultra-modern palace and other development initiatives, Aare Asejere's family made a generous donation of ₦10 million, announced by Otunba Rasheed Olaoluwa on their behalf.
The installation reception, held at WOCDIF Event Centre, was graced by top dignitaries, including Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke; Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye; Chief of Staff, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye; Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Adewale Egbedun; Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. abidemi Ireyode Oyewusi; First Lady, Chief Mrs. Titilola Adeleke and other prominent personalities, including members of the National Assembly and State House of Assembly, Commissioners, Royal Fathers, State Working Committee of the Party and political leaders.
Traditional rulers, including HRM Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, the Ataoja of Osogbo, and HRM Oba Tunde Ologinni, the Olodogbolu of Odogbolu, added a touch of royalty to the colorful event, reflecting the significance of the occasion.
The conferment and subsequent celebrations exemplify Aare and Yeye Aare Gbadero’s commitment to the growth and progress of Ifon Orolu Kingdom.
