Aare Asejere Hails Emergence of PDP South-West Zonal Executives, Urges Unity and Grassroots Reconnection

The Honourable Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs in Osun State, Aare Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa Asejere, has congratulated the newly elected South-West Zonal Executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing their emergence as a new dawn for the party. He praised the smooth conduct of the congress held in Ibadan and commended the camaraderie among delegates and stakeholders, including Governors Ademola Adeleke and Seyi Makinde.

Aare Asejere emphasized that the PDP in the South-West must now reposition itself by deepening unity, reconnecting with grassroots structures, and fostering trust within the party. According to him, the new leadership must “hit the ground running” by building bridges and laying a strong foundation for future electoral success.

He applauded Governors Adeleke and Makinde for their strategic roles in guiding and stabilizing the party, noting that their commitment continues to be instrumental to the PDP’s survival and strength in the region. Their presence at the congress, he said, signifies a deep-rooted dedication to progressive politics.

Concluding, Aare Asejere charged the new executives to embrace inclusion, competence, and people-focused leadership. “This is not just a time to celebrate—it is a time to rebuild and reconnect,” he said, urging party members to remain focused and united in the pursuit of a stronger, people-oriented PDP in the South-West.
