On behalf of the Osun State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), I extend our warmest felicitations to Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, former Secretary to the State Government, on the occasion of his 70th birthday celebration.

We celebrate this Elderstatesman for his remarkable contributions to the development of our great party, the PDP, and Osun State as a whole. Throughout his illustrious career as a public servant, Alhaji Akinbade has demonstrated profound dedication, unshakeable commitment, and selfless service to our party and state.

Alhaji Akinbade has contributed to the state diligently right from his youthful days, serving as commissioner for works right from the days of the military just as he was among the eggheads that solidified the footings of our great party, the PDP in Osun State. 

Baba Akinbade left an indelible mark as the chairman of the PDP in Osun with his leadership acumen, calmness, and wisdom. We will continue to be grateful for all his marks in the annals of our party

Alhaji Akinbade's era as the Secretary to the State Government remains a reference point in the governance of our dear state. He played crucial roles in shaping the state's development agenda during the reigns of our father, former governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola. We also acknowledge Alhaji's contributions to the growth and development of several personalities in the State. Personally, he has been a go-to, jolly elderly friend since mid-'80s. He is a warehouse of governance ethics!
 
As we celebrate this milestone today, we pray that Alhaji Akinbade continues to enjoy good health, peace, and happiness. May his life continue to serve as source of inspiration to all of us, while his legacy continues to inspire future generations of leaders.

Once again, we wish Alhaji Fatai Akinbade a happy 70th birthday and many more years of service to our dear state, Nigeria, and humanity at large."
