Hon. Shokeye Muhammed Shobowale has extended warm greetings and felicitations to Muslims in Osun State and across Nigeria as they welcome the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1447 AH. He described the new year as a sacred opportunity for spiritual renewal, deep reflection, and a recommitment to the timeless values symbolized by the Prophet Muhammad’s migration sacrifice, faith, unity, and resilience.
Reflecting on the meaning of the Hijrah, Hon. Shokeye emphasized its significance as a journey of conviction and transformation. He encouraged Muslims to allow the lessons of the Hijrah to inspire personal growth and foster a society built on peace, justice, and collective progress.
Hon. Shokeye also offered special prayers for the peace, stability, and prosperity of Nigeria, with particular emphasis on Osun State. He prayed for divine protection, blessings, and upliftment for all Muslim families during this holy season.
Hon. Shokeye commended Governor Asiwaju Nurudeen Ademola Jackson Adeleke for his inclusive and visionary leadership. He praised the governor’s dedication to religious harmony, peaceful coexistence, and socioeconomic development, noting that such efforts reflect true statesmanship and commitment to unity in diversity.
Hon. Shokeye concluded by urging Muslims to remain steadfast in prayers and moral conduct, calling for collective efforts toward national development. "May this Hijrah season mark a turning point for us all, a time of renewal, hope, and divine intervention in all our affairs. I wish all Muslims a peaceful and prosperous Hijrah 1447," he concluded.
