OSOGBO AND OLORUNDA STAKEHOLDERS UNITE, ENDORSE GOVERNOR ADELEKE FOR SECOND TERM.

Stakeholders from Osogbo and Olorunda Local Government Areas have unanimously endorsed the re-election bid of Osun State Governor H.E., Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
The endorsement followed a strategic unity meeting held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the residence of Dr. Olu Alabi. The meeting was convened at the instance of the Bobagunwa of Osogbo Land and Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye.
The well-attended gathering brought together party leaders, political stakeholders, and key opinion leaders from both Osogbo and Olorunda Local Government Areas.
During the deliberation, stakeholders reviewed the performances of Governor Ademola Adeleke, highlighting what they described as unprecedented infrastructural and socio-economic development in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
They also noted that the level of developments witnessed under the current administration remains unmatched in the history of governance in the state.
The meeting, which was all-encompassing, also appealed to the Governor to urgently facilitate the completion of the Osogbo–Oba Ile Road, particularly the stretch from Dagbolu to Oba. In response, the Secretary to the State Government assured the gathering that the request would be conveyed to the Governor and that necessary actions would be taken promptly.
Following extensive discussions, the stakeholders unanimously passed a vote of confidence in Governor Adeleke and formally endorsed him for a second term in office.
They further called on the people of Osogbo to reciprocate the Governor’s developmental strides by giving him overwhelming support at the polls, emphasizing that continuity would guarantee sustained growth and increased dividends of democracy.
The meeting also resolved that stakeholders in Osogbo and Olorunda would henceforth work in unity and speak with one voice in pursuit of shared political and developmental objectives.
