Two prominent sons of Modakeke have secured strategic appointments in the newly inaugurated Imole Campaign Council, the apex body coordinating the re-election bid of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.
The council was formally inaugurated on Wednesday at the Imole House, located in the Ogo-Oluwa Area of Osogbo, marking a significant step in the build-up to the governor’s re-election campaign.
Designed as the central decision-making and strategic planning organ, the Imole Campaign Council is tasked with providing overall direction, vision, and coordination for the re-election structure.
Among the appointees, Prince Oloke Kehinde was named Chairman of the Religious Engagement (Traditional) arm of the council, while Hon. Abiodun Adegoke will serve as Vice Chairman of the Civil Society Matters Committee.
In the broader local government campaign structure, Hon. Dele Onigbinde has been appointed Chairman of the Area Office, with Hon. Wale Adebayo serving as Coordinator.
The appointments are seen as a reflection of the growing political relevance of Modakeke indigenes within the state’s political landscape, as preparations intensify for the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
